we FINALLY got a cat! after talking about getting one for years, and checking the local shelters...i fell in love with a cat named cleopatra (we changed it to Cleo) in the st. george animal shelter. Unfortunatly st. george is a kill shelter, so we were so happy to adopt her and really save her life! She is a siamese mix and LOVES to cuddle! she purrs like crazy and prefers to sleep on piles of clothes in the closet, even in the dirty clothes basket more than the 2 cat beds i bought her hahah She makes me so happy and i encourage everyone to adopt from your local shelter if you have room for an animal, there were so many that needed homes!

Our First House

We have moved out of our 1 bedroom 1 bathroom condo...into our 4 bedroom 3 bathroom first house! We couldn't be happier. It's in a great neighborhood with a view of the mountains. Were looking forward to meeting our neighbors and getting to know the people in our ward. We spend the weekends working on little home projects...planting cactus, rock, painting, cleaning, hanging decorations and all the fun things that come with owning a home. Here are a few pictures, more updated ones to come!

We just got back from the most amazing trip to Italy! my parents were on a cruise and we also got to meet up with them for 2 of the days. We went to Venice (my favorite), florence, pisa, capri(an island off of italy) and rome. I loved the pizza and pasta, getting lost with my husband, the gelato, train rides, boat rides, shopping, and seeing the amazing sights. We saw the Collusseum, leaning tower of pisa, the Vatican, the David, Trevi Fountain, St. Marcks Square, Rialto Bridge, Sistine Chapel, and Amazing cathedrals! I took over 800 pictures so these are obviously just a small taste of some of my favorites. Enjoy :)

Rihanna Concert

One of my favorite things about living in Vegas is the concerts that come to town. Since we have lived here we have been lucky enough to go see Aerosmith, Britney Spears, Jordin Sparks, Steve Miller Band, Mariah Carey, U2, ZZ Top and now finally RIHANNA! We ended up getting tickets the day of the concert and it was a very spontaneous date night. We had so much fun! There is just something about thousands of people and music so loud your ears ring for the next 2 days that i love :)

Disneyland

We celebrated my birthday a couple days early this year, by spending 5 days with my family in California at a beautiful house with a view of the ocean. One of those days we decided to go to disneyland to celebrate my nieces birthday (me, my mom, and my niece have really close birthdays together). A couple of months ago we joined this program called "give a day, get a disney day" where you volunteered in your community for a day and got free tickets to disneyland. Radlee and I handed out 500 pairs of shoes and socks to kids in elementary school who couldn't afford them. It was amazing! seriously you can be any age and LOVE disneyland. Of course we went on all the little rides with my niece..it's a small world, peter pan, teacups, etc. but we also snuck away for Indiana Jones ride, Space mountain, pirates of the caribbean and haunted mansion. We stayed there all day and into the evening squeezing as many rides in as we could. I love spending birthdays with family and this year was a great one!

Monster Fun!

Radlee and I took our dad's to the world final monster truck races and it was SO much fun. We spent all day walking around in the racing pits and then sat in the stands for the races and the freestyle competition. I could go on and on about how fun/silly/crazy the whole thing was but check out these pictures and see for yourself how amazing it was. :)

Bellagio

So work has been a little slow lately so I decided to start applying for some other jobs in addition to the one I have now. I applied for some local spas but then also Caesars Palace,Hard Rock, and lastly the Bellagio. I know I didn't have much of a chance with the big spas on the strip cause they all require about 2 years experience and I almost have 1 year. Anyways, there was no hurt in trying right? Well it turns out that for some odd reason "Spa Bellagio" decided to call me in for an interview. I was asked some crazy hard questions and then left. Then they called again and asked me to come in for a hands on interview. I had to give the lead massage therapist of the spa a 50 minute full body massage while another massage therapist sat in the corner and took notes about my work, then I left. A couple days later they called me back to do a verbal interview with another massage therapist and for a hands on chair massage demo. Then what do you know, the next thing I know is that I am the newest employee of the Spa Bellagio!!! I can't even tell you how excited I am, the Bellagio has always been my dream job and I get to work there without even having a year experience. I am very lucky to be given this chance! I will start out giving massages in the poolside cabannas, hopefully on some very rich/famous clients for about 6 months and then after that I will interview to work inside the spa. Excited but nervous! :)

Radlees 26th Birthday!

Radlee turned 26 on Jan. 24th. Geez what an old man! haha just kidding babe. Guys only get sexier with age dont you think? Well my mother in law Lorri and Radlees 3 half siblings came to visit from California and visit for his birthday. It was so good to see them since we dont get to very often. Radlees dad also came to visit and spoiled us by taking us out to dinner and of course...an exotic car museum. Radlee was in heaven. I was lucky to marry a guy who is so into cars. Me being raised never watching a football game, or going to a baseball game, but never missing the big Indianapolis 500 race once a year and going to the drag races, Radlee fits into my family just perfectly. More Hiking

Radlee and I have made a goal to go hiking lots this year. He loves the fresh air and getting the exercise, and I love being outdoors with no T.V. , no computer, no cell phone service, and having the amazing conversations that can come up when you have nothing but nature to distract you. I'm sure i'll be posting a ton of canyon pics because I just can't help but try to capture the beauty of the mountains. The pictures never turn out as pretty as the real thing but here's a taste of a few of our favorite places.

The most amazing 2 years of my life

Wow, I can't believe we have been married for 2 years. We have had so many amazing experiences together. Both of us graduating, moving, getting jobs, and went on lots of vacations exploring random places together :) I'm married to the most amazing guy on the planet who spoils me everyday! Love you babe.

Christmas

Christmas was amazing this year. This would be the first Christmas since my Grandma has passed away, and everyone decided it would be great to all get together, because it was a big reality check that although families are forever, you will only live on earth together for so long. So this was an extra special christmas for us. We traveled up to Highland, Utah to stay at my aunts house. Christmas eve we partied with my parents, sister, niece, cousins, aunts and uncles. There was music, a roaring fireplace, mistletoe and the most homemade food you have ever seen!! Swedish bread is a big tradition in our family, because my ancestors are from Sweden. It tastes sooooo good! It was just like out of a storybook. I'm so greatful for my amazing husband and inlaws that were so patient and understanding that I needed to be with my family this year for the holidays. The snow was beautiful and it really was a white christmas! Can't wait until next year :) Toby(my aunts dog), jumps on your lap EVERYtime you sit down, so he decided to be in the picture too. His christmas sweater made him look more like a pudgy baby than a dog!

CSI: Las Vegas

For my Dad's 50th birthday we took him to the CSI experience at the MGM. You choose from 3 different crimes, go to the crime scene, take fingerprints, do an autopsy, check DNA samples and come to a conclusion of who commited the murder. We had a great time walking around in our CSI hats, with our clipboards, using the flashlights to investigate. But the best part is....we got it right! We solved the murder. :) Case closed.

Early Christmas

Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with the holidays. Especially Christmas. Radlee heard on the radio that Santa was coming to town EXTRA EARLY this year, it's not even thanksgiving yet! Anyways, we grabbed some jackets and hot chocolate and headed over to town square to watch the parade and Santa arrive. We sang Christmas songs and did a countdown to light the 40 foot christmas tree. Right when it lit up fake snow started falling from the sky! (ok it was just pumped through some pipes hanging off the buildings, but if you were in the christmas spirit it felt real!) haha It was such a fun date night!

Red Rock Canyon

Radlee woke me up on Saturday and said, "Are you ready for a day of fun?! " and he was right. We decided that we were missing the beauty of Utah and were in desperate need for some fresh air and scenery. We had heard about Red Rock Canyon, in Las Vegas where there were some trails and wildlife. It's only about 10 minutes from our house and was just what we needed. We grabbed some taco bell and had a great picnic before our hike. It was actually REALLY cold! We got to see some beautiful changing leaves and everything. There are squirels and wild burros everywhere. I think we will make It a habit to go back as often as we can!

A Great Halloween

Radlee and I had a great Halloween this year. We went home to St. George and got to spend time with both of our families. We have really enjoyed only being 2 hours away instead of the 4 hour drive from Provo. Radlee was a good sport and dressed up with me, although his goal was to find the cheapest costume on the planet..so he went with the $1.00 little boy curious george mask that barely fit his face haha. It kept me laughing everytime I looked at him. The little kids who came up to the door all recognized who he was and LOVED it! I love you tooMonkey Face. :)
